Year 2

It’s strange to be on a ship this large and breathing its air. In the past three years, Iri has been on large residential ships like this, intended to carry hundreds of people for months or longer, more times than she can count, but life support has always been inactive or at enough risk of malfunctioning that they had proceeded as if it wasn’t working at all. The ceilings of the main passageway are unnervingly tall without the protection of a vacuum suit, even though they’re nothing compared to a planet with an open sky. It’s been a long time since Iri has seen either.
